A second sunrise for humanity.
Concept draft · Not a completed film
What would it take to build a home beyond Earth—and become better stewards of the one we already have?
Imagine people living beyond Earth in habitats that make every drop of water, every repair, and every shared decision matter. The path begins with the ordinary systems that keep a home alive: energy, food, air, materials, maintenance, and cooperation. A distant destination becomes more useful when its dependencies are visible.
This is a speculative horizon, not a settlement timetable. Transport, radiation, human health, system reliability, and governance remain fundamental constraints. Technologies explored for a remote habitat should also be judged by whether they create useful knowledge or capabilities here on Earth.
Begin with a transparent simulation of one habitat resource loop. Choose a narrow question, such as water demand and recovery, cite the model inputs, and expose the assumptions that drive failure. Invite technical review and publish the limits before proposing any physical experiment.
